Palo Alto, California has announced that the city’s minimum wage will increase.
The Details:
The Palo Alto minimum wage will increase from $16.45 hour to $17.30 per hour effective January 1, 2023. The minimum wage requirement applies to all employees who work two hours per week within Palo Alto.
Note: California does not allow the use of a tip credit when paying tipped employees.
Next Steps:
Effective January 1, 2023, all Palo Alto employers must pay their employees who work two hours per week within the city at least $17.30 per hour. Employers should also post an up-to-date minimum wage notice in the workplace, which may be found here.
