New Jersey has announced the state’s minimum wage increases for 2023.  
The Details: 
Effective January 1, 2023, New Jersey’s minimum wage will increase as follows: 
Employers of: 
Six or more employees:                                  $14.13 per hour (currently $13.00) 
Less than six employees:            $12.93 per hour (currently $11.90)
Seasonal employees:                     $12.93 per hour (currently $11.90)
Agricultural employees:                                $12.01 per hour (currently $11.05)
Long term care employees:       $17.13 per hour (currently $16.00)
The cash minimum wage for tipped workers will increase to $5.26 per hour.  This is a 13-cent increase from the current rate. 
Next Steps:
As of January 1, 2023, New Jersey employers must pay their employees at least the minimum wage as outlined above. 
In addition, New Jersey employers must “display this poster in a conspicuous place.”
