Santander Bank: In-Branch Check Cashing Changes Effective Oct. 30, 2023

11/02/23

Author: ADP Admin/Tuesday, October 31, 2023/Categories: News

This notice is to let you know that some of your ADP® payroll checks are drawn on a Santander Bank account today for employees coded to Massachusetts SUI. We were recently notified by the Bank that effective Oct. 30, 2023, they will no longer cash checks for non-account holders in their branches.

This change only affects non-account holders attempting to cash checks in a Santander Bank branch on or after Oct. 30, 2023. This does not affect checks deposited to a bank account.

What you should do

  • Please advise any employee holding ADP checks drawn on Santander Bank of this change.
  • You can view any outstanding checks by going to ADP Workforce Now®> Reports & Analytics > Tax & Banking > ADP SmartCompliance® >Wage Payment > Uncashed/Refunded > Select your Branch Company Code and ‘Include Uncashed Checks’ > Click View Uncashed Checks.
  • Encourage those employees holding these checks, who are not account holders and typically cash their checks in the branch, to cash those checks before Oct. 30, 2023.

What we’re doing

Right Now

For payrolls processed on or afterFriday Oct.20, 2023, we will begin issuing ADPchecks drawn onTD Bankfor employees coded to Massachusetts SUI, who offers in-branch check cashing for non-account holders.
