Arizona - Flagstaff to increase minimum wage on January 1, 2023

Flagstaff, Arizona has announced that its minimum wage will increase. Workers who work or are expected to work 25 hours or more in any given calendar year within the city limits are subject to the  minimum wage ordinance.

The Details: 

Effective Jan. 1, 2023, the minimum wage will increase from $15.50 to $16.80 per hour.  On this same date, the cash minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $14.80 per hour from its current level of $13.00 per hour.

Next Steps:

As of Jan. 1, 2023, Flagstaff employers must pay employees who are expected to work or work more than 25 hours in 2023 at least the amounts noted above.

In addition, Flagstaff employers must furnish employees with a poster to “be conspicuously posted in a place that its accessible to all employees.”  The poster, once updated for 2023, may be found at the following link.
